The 2008/09 season has been one the best seasons on record. Although it is not finished, the lifts start closing in mid-April, for most skiers they have put away the skis until next year. Record snowfalls in early December followed through with regular big dumps of snow most weeks of the season, leaving a big base of snow on the ski slopes.
